We’ve heard it from the Beatles

A message from above

We’ve heard it through the ages

Seen in the image of a dove

 

But why is LOVE the answer

To everything we need

For all we see

For all we feel

For all we believe we believe

 

Oh how is LOVE the answer

After all

So small a word

Pitted against a dictionary

A lamb trapped in a stampeding herd

A creek against the raging sea

David vs. Goliath

The odds indeed absurd

Just do the math

And you’ll agree

After all

So how is LOVE the answer

To everything we need

‘Cause LOVE provides the tools

To carry out the impossible deed

How David defeats Goliath

How barren produces seed

It focuses on the good

In all we see

In all we feel

And filters out the bad

In all we believe we believe

 

The tools are in its letters

Its letters

They are the tools

Not just an ‘L’

It’s a shovel

More than an ‘O’

It is a hole

And the ‘V’

Also a funnel

The ‘E’

It is a bowl

 

Grab the shovel

Separate

Save the good stuff

For the bowl

Use the funnel

To help you tunnel

All the bad stuff

Through the hole

By suggestion

Someone told me

Where to look

Said I’d find

The answers I seek

Within
