I’m a ghost

At least I’m hers

Just her ghost at most

But at least I am

Her ghost

What will it take

To make me opaque

 

When I’m with two

Two’s all she will see

When I’m with three

She’ll only see three

My only wish

That she could see me

A ghost in her eyes

A ghost in a crowd

Is all I’m allowed

Not lost in the shadows

Not covered in shroud

Why can’t she see me

Can’t hear

Or can’t feel me

Looks only for what she wants

Not getting what she needs

Someone who sees her for her

Not who everyone else believes

Someone who sees her like me

They see what they want to see

But they don’t see her

So she’s a ghost like me

Just waiting to be seen

Still to her
