Your Sun Is Setting
It’s not a one to one
But a one too many
The question is, “Why?”
But no answers from you
All you think you have won
But you haven’t won any
Self-deception won’t fly
The only person
Not onto you
Is you
Your sun is setting
And I find it unsettling
If you don’t see
That it’s not morning
Then it’s mourning
You will be
But you can turn that around
Reverse the path on which you are bound
By just opening your eyes
But to do that, I fear
You must first do more than hear
More than just let ears be ears
You’ve got to listen
If only you’d listen
Listen to the words
Listen to the words of the wise
‘Til then...
It’s not a one to one
But a one too many
The question is, “Why?”
But no answers from you
All you think you have won
But you haven’t won any
Self-deception won’t fly
The only person
Not onto you
Is you
Your sun is setting
And I find it unsettling
If you don’t see
That it’s not morning
Then it’s mourning
You will be
