Having cleared the woods
Lost
I’ve stumbled unto
A plot of land
A bone garden
Tombstones
In full bloom
A plot of land
A land of plots
At the beginning
Of the end
I’m greeted
In the mid of night
By blackest hood
And sharpest scythe
An enemy or friend
A junction or an end
From this gardener
A test
What brings you here
It’s not your time
You’ve had your beginning
But it’s not your end
To the gardener
I’m lost
My compass as my guide
Sought true north
To me, it lied
So in a night
Pitch black
As black as your hood
And in a night’s
Cold snap
As sharp as your scythe
Into the night
My back
Stabbed by winter wind
It followed me
From today’s begin
Unto this dark and solemn end
Please point safe way
With scythe-less hand
And on my way
I’ll leave this land
This land of plots
This plot of land
Until life’s light and warmth at hand
Having cleared the woods
Frost
I’ve stumbled from
The plot of land
The bone garden
Tombstones
In full bloom
A plot of land
A land of plots
At the beginning
Of the end
As guided through
The starless night
By blackest hood
And sharpest scythe
From the gardener
A friend
A junction from an end
I find my way
From blackest night
From coldest winds
With the sharpest bite
To lively warmth
And clearest light
Into your arms again
