Ron Swan has written two novels. The Kite and the Coin Toss.and Through the Kindness of Ravens.
He has also written four children's stories, the first of which, Birden the Albatross, likens itself to an Aesop's Fable. The next two, Yin's Dark And Scary Story and its sequel, Yang's Not So Dark But Scary Story lean more towards Dr. Seuss. The latest, By the Eyes of Hamish and Hanley, shows the escalation of beauty to love from eyes fresh from their first flight above.
He intends to pursue getting these published as well.
Over the years, he has written nearly six hundred poems and lyrics, with many posted in his blog, jOURnal. He published over one hundred of them within his first novel either as preludes to chapters or in the collection at the end of the novel, This Journal Belongs To Jakeb Hoke, representing a journal in the novel.
Ron artistic endeavors cover many mediums from photography to painting to comics, submitted an ad campaign to McDonalds (McGold Rush), and recently submitted shirt designs to 1776 United and two full scale project concepts to Disney, (Pixel Dust and Ghost and Found). He shared the technical aspects behind Pixel Dust with the makers of Xylobands.
He lives in Peoria, IL with his wife and two cats...and yes, the cats rule the domain.
