The Cry Of The Bell
The heads bow
The bell sings
A beautiful sound
All…
But for the sorrow it rings
The sun’s down
The moon rises
It’s frightful round
All…
But for tomorrow it brings
Who will be there to see it
Rise up from their slumber to greet it
Our souls tell the tales
Of our giving
We’re all one life away
From not living
If you don’t wake up…
Don’t live for the now
Then for you,
As for the dead,
Their heads
They will bow
Some will march as they bear
Some, the earth they will share
Pay the toll
Heaven or Hell
Hear the toll
The cry of the bell
And as the choir sings…
The heads bow
The bell sings
A beautiful sound
All…
But for the sorrow it rings
The sun’s down
The moon rises
It’s frightful round
All…
But for tomorrow it brings
The choice of the living
The fate of the dead
They both rest on a pillow
Only one lifts their head
To see tomorrow
