She is all that has been

            Touched by the sun

She is all the shadows

            Long to be

And when she looks my way

            And smiles

                        Drops from barrels

                        Inches from miles

She shares the light of the sun

            With me

She scares the shadows of life

And in her light I bask

Though unsuited for the task
