A Perspective On Wealth
3.1.2019
He’s got all the money
He will ever need
But he cannot buy love
And now
That is all he needs
And she’s got all the love
She will ever need
But she cannot buy a car
And now
Says that’s all she wants
So which of the two
Would you rather be?
And of the two
Who has what they need?
The hare in your mind races
Towards the money
Towards the man
But your tortoise
Takes time to think
Then as fast as he can
Makes a tortoise bee-line
Towards the woman
Wants a car
But is otherwise fine
Money does not make the man
True love is the better plan
Tie the money
To your dreams
And tie the love
With your heart strings
Money does not make the man
True love is the better plan
You may want a nice car to drive
But don’t need it if love’s the destination
Much better for your health
If you walk and change your path
And change your mental station
Your perspective on wealth
To have the money for a sweet ride
Or have your honey by your side
The grass seems greener
But I’m not gonna lie
The ride gets awfully lonely
With no honey by your side
To be rich is not definitive
But much more a perspective
The message I now try to give
A perspective on wealth
So though he’s got all the money
He will ever need
But he cannot buy love
And she’s got all the love
She will ever need
It is she
From my perspective
Is rich beyond his dreams
He has all material things he wants
But she has what he needs
Don’t sacrifice the love you need
To chase the things you long in dreams
The hare is alone
It is the tortoise who won
In its life below kings and queens
Now the hare sits alone in his ride
Spies the tortoise
With love by his side
And the tortoise
So happy
All eyes on his love
Walked on past the hare’s car
While giving thanks to above
He had not even noticed
The car he walked past
Blinded by new perspective
Bathed in the light it had cast
Money does not make the man
True love is the better plan
To be rich is not definitive
But much more a perspective
The message I now try to give
A perspective on wealth
