We missed the bus
The rabbit’s foot got away

Fortuitous,

Who missed the bus…
Whose rabbit foot got away
That two of us
The two of us
Have gone and lost our way.
If the rabbit’s foot got away
Perhaps it was still attached
To the rabbit’s leg
Making it truly a lucky rabbit’s foot
A fortuitous foot
Missed by the bus
And so it got away
Find the leg
We’ll find the foot
And perhaps we’ll find our way
But not so for two of us
Not so fortuitous
Though, also missed by the bus
We’ll have to make our trip by feet
Perhaps if we had rabbit’s feet
Our luck would change today
And for four of us
Fortuitous
We’d all be on our way
