Pyrophytic People
11.18.2018
When life goes to ashes
As sad as it is
As bad as it is
A new fire lit
Something rises from it
The Phoenix will rise once again
When life goes to ashes
The greatest surprise is
Not just that it rises
But how, who, what, where, why and when
There are pyrophytic plants
They need fire to seed
I would argue
Some humans have shared in this need
No attempt to diminish
The tragedies suffered
Any loss is a loss
I feel for their pain
I merely point out
For some who have suffered
Have bloomed from their loss
From tragedy buffered
As Phoenixes rising
From ashes below
Pyrophytic people rise
Pyrophytic people rose
From the ashes of their pain
To super-succeed
Their lives rise to full gain
From the fire they feed
Like pyrophitic seed
They rise from it all
They super-succeed
As I think upon it
A question too rises
Who would they be
Had they not paid tragic prices
Who would they be
Sans tragedy
Pyrophytic seeds
From the ashes of tragedy
Inspiration ignites
The Phoenix it rises
See the fire in its eyes
As pyrophytic people
Set fire to their lives
Set themselves on a path
Toward meteoric rise
Pyrophitic people
Phoenixes rising
From pit to pinnacle
From the ashes of tragedy
From seed to super-succeed
