Driving into work the other day while listening to cds teaching Japanese, I thought of this song. When I reached work, I wrote the two stanzas and chorus I had in my head onto a PostIt while still sitting in the car in the parking lot so I would not lose them.
Ni - Two
Pon - in this context refers to bottles
Onegaishemas - loosely translates to asking someone to do a favor, please
"Flying fat, flying flat like the lies of a twisted ribbon..." - rAveNswAn
Blood, sweat and tears...oh, and lots of words!
...But under, I’ll stand
Beneath the American flag
That’s one thing above me
That I understand
Cousin to In Time You Will Find Me...
Saw It this past weekend, and a poem in the movie reminded me of this one I had written years ago that can be found in Through the Kindness of Ravens.
Honor and learn from the blood trees. Don't cut them down.
Glad it wasn't a bowling ball.
I read that a Bluebird is blind to the color blue. Whether that is true or not is grey, however the thought of it as true blue led to this poem.
Thought of this while waiting for a train to pass...a very long train.
The Raven - He with the moon in his mouth
"Only the shadow knows what lurks in the hearts of men."
If you can conquer darkness, you are one up on your shadow, as it cannot conquer light.
Thought of this on my jog this morning...
I work in an area that takes data, something we have a ton of and from all over, and turns it into information in various forms. The only way to get good information out is to put good data in, so Garbage In...Garbage Out is very applicable in that arena making it a relatively common phrase.
As I think about it, however, I believe it applies just as much to anything and everything we do; it applies to life.
